Medical Practitioners from the local Medical Clinic Millicent consult on a weekly basis. If a current medical practitioner is not available to offer services at the facility, staff liaise with the medical clinic and resident to obtain access to a visiting practitioner. The facility will also liaise with other external professional services, in consultation with residents and their representatives, to access additional services. These may include Medical Specialists, Dentists, Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, Optometrists, Dieticians and Occupational Therapists.

A fully qualified physiotherapist visits for two days each week and regularly assesses each resident. A program is developed on admission to maximise functional ability and manage any identified pain and this is carried out by our trained physiotherapy aides and registered nurses. There are also exercise classes three times a week and Tai Chi on Thursdays.
