Just 50 kilometres from Mount Gambier, Millicent is situated in the Limestone Coast region, approximately halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
Boneham Aged Care Services is a community based, not-for-profit organisation managed by a Board elected from eligible members of the Millicent and Districts Community. The Board, together with the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Care, are responsible for the ongoing management and planning of Boneham Aged Care Services (Boneham).
Boneham manages a 90 bed residential care home, Mary Cecelia Hart Court, and 20 independent living units for independent members of the community.
Mary Cecelia Hart Court has 90 licenced residential aged care beds. We offer both permanent care and short term respite care. Mary Cecelia Hart Court is a fully accredited home providing Ageing in Place for its residents, with qualified staff on duty 24 hours per day. Mary Cecelia Hart Court is a beautifully presented care home which has been regularly refurbished and extended over the years to provide a comfortable and contemporary home for our residents. Our home includes a 16 bed secure memory support unit for the specialised care of persons with advanced dementia who require higher levels of support.
We are passionate about our residents’ lifestyles and strive to assist them to maintain their favourite pastimes whilst encouraging them to experience new activities and form new friendships. An extensive and diverse activity calendar is available to residents and personalised lifestyle programs are created for each individual. Family members are welcome to attend monthly resident forums. A quarterly newsletter keep families informed of activities and news along with our public Facebook page and our private (residents and family only) Lifestyle Facebook page.
Boneham also operates 20 independent living units which are located in a village setting on our expansive campus. Independent living units provide accommodation for elderly and vulnerable members of our community who can live independently but are no longer able to afford or manage larger residential homes and grounds. Residents are able to participate in selected activities within the aged care home and can access our Café La Fromelles for coffee and meals.
